I’m Aad Verstraelen, a motion designer and animator based in Antwerp.

 

In 2012 I graduated in Animation Film from the MAD Faculty in Genk. That same year I received the VAF Wildcard, which gave me the opportunity to create my own professional short film.

After that I worked as a 3D animator on a feature film and two children’s series.

Since completing my short film I have been working full time as a freelance animator and motion designer, and I have never looked back.

Over the years I have collaborated with local brands and agencies as well as international artists and companies.

From concept to final animation I combine design, rhythm and movement to create visuals that tell a clear and engaging story.

 

I’m always exploring new tools and techniques to push my work further.

At the moment I’m particularly interested in how artificial intelligence can expand creative possibilities in animation and design.

 

Today I work independently from my own studio in Antwerp, creating 2D and 3D animations that bring ideas to life with precision and character.
