I'm Aad Verstraelen, a freelance motion designer and animator based in Antwerp, working with agencies and brands across the world on explainer videos, brand animation and broadcast visuals.

In 2012 I graduated in Animation Film from the MAD Faculty in Genk. That same year I received the VAF Wildcard, which gave me the opportunity to create my own professional short film.

Afterwards I worked as a 3D animator on a feature film and two children's series before moving into freelance motion design full time.

Since then I have collaborated with creative agencies, production studios and brands on a wide range of animation projects, from explainer videos and social media content to TV graphics and music visualizers.

From concept to final animation I combine design, rhythm and storytelling to create clear and engaging visuals that support strong communication.

Today I work independently from my studio in Antwerp, delivering 2D and 3D animation for agencies and clients internationally.

I'm always exploring new tools and workflows. Recently I'm especially interested in how AI can support and expand animation production pipelines.
